Why 22-momme matters

Momme is the luxury of silk.

Momme measures the weight of silk fabric. We chose 22 momme for a more substantial bonnet that pairs silk’s smooth, friction-reducing surface with fabric made for regular wear.

16 Momme (Basic)

Smooth silk can still help reduce friction, but this is the thinnest fabric in the comparison. There’s less silk in the same amount of fabric, leaving it more delicate for nightly wear.

19 Momme (Better)

More substantial than 16 momme, but still a lighter fabric. It gives your hair the smooth surface of silk, with less weight and material than our 22 momme choice.

22 Momme (Lina Lennox)

Best choice for a bonnet you’ll wear every night. Thicker than 16 or 19 momme silk, it stands up to regular wear and washing, while its exceptionally smooth surface helps protect your hair from friction.
